Hope: A Memoir of Survival in Cleveland by Amanda Berry
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I don't read non fiction very much but made an exception to read the books from these girls. There were several points of view, from the two girls to accounts by investigators. Learned some stuff I never knew, that blew me away and kind of disgusted me. Could have lived my whole life without knowing Ariel Castro named his manhood, but I should have expected to read sick details like that in this book. I'm sure it was nothing compared to what these girls endured. I am touched by their stories, their determination and am truly glad they got to write this book.
